Hello everyone. Hope everyone is enjoying the fall.We are having really good Høst (Autumn) days as everyone says in Telemark. So, we think we are lucky but it is getting colder and colder. Can’t wait for the winter (not really!!)
We have been pretty busy learning about the activities in Telemark Røde Kors, attending them and meeting volunteers and people in Røde Cross as well as outside. The weather may be getting colder but the people here are really warm. Almost every activity we attend is in Norwegian but we have our friends who translate for us. We have to say that we are improving our listening skills by listening to Norwegian all the time.
Henrys Hus, the new youth activity house in Porsgrunn will open at 14th of October. Last night, a workshop was held to the new volunteers introducing them to the world of Red Cross. Volunteers are quite busy and really excited for the opening of Henrys Hus.
We held a presentation about Nepal Red Cross Society and our voluntary works back in Nepal for our colleagues in Telemark Røde Kors. It was proud moment to show what we as Red Cross do back in our home.
It is the season of festival in Nepal. Back in our home, people are celebrating Dashain, one of the biggest festival in Nepal. We hope everyone a very happy Dashain.
