Life Skills are psycho-social competences which enable an individual to develop adaptive and positive behavior to deal effectively with challenges and demands of everyday life. The development of Life Skills is a life long process that starts in early childhood and continues throughout ones life.
The skills that deal mainly with the mental functions and processes, such as the problem-solving, and the skills that deal with one’s interaction with self, others and the environment.
Life Skills Education is the study of abilities for adaptive and positive behavior that enable individuals to deal effectively with the demands and the challenges of everyday life.
Most people feel lonely because they have not discovered that; they are special to their family, friends and people around them. Positive thinking says "human beings are born for a purpose and they are precious and unique". "Recognizing our individuals" was one of topics we discussed in Life skills course. There we managed to discover our potentials and abilities, by writing one of the good things we do for other people at home, school or work. The topic also helped us to figure out how important we are to our communities. Therefore we have to think positive about our lives and not to be discouraged by setbacks.
