KARMØY RED CROSS CELEBRATED 150th BIRTHDAY OF NORWEGIAN RED CROSS AT SOLSTEIN

Happy Birth Day To Norwegian Red Cross

Norwegian Red Cross was found on 04/11/1865, yesterday was it's 150th birthday. Karmøy Red Cross (1 local RC branches of Rogaland district in Norway) happily celebrated this birthday at Solstein with more than 60 participants.

This was an interesting birthday party.John Roger Midtun (the leader of Karmøy Røde Kors) delivered an opening speech,where he included the history of Red Cross/Red Crescent movement as well as how Norwegian Red Cross was found.Again Per Olav (the vice/next leader of Karmøy Rode Kors) asked the participants to stand up and sit down according to for how long one had been in the family of Red Cross and we found out that 6 people had been in Red Cross for more than 40 years. 

At the end of  the party we tasted the birthday cake and watch and listen to dance and music,Lebusa performed BREAK DANCE and SLOGMÅKANE BAND (famours Karmøy band that participate in Norway's got talent) performed 3 ear catching songs.They asked Jarle Nilsen (newly elected mayor of Karmøy) to join them.
