It's getting closer to the end of our delegation mission...Check out what we have been doing these previous weeks!
We have been joining different activities in three local branches of Rogaland Red Cross district, as well as participating on the Street Mediation workshop.
PARTICIPATING IN STREET MEDIATION WORKSHOP IN SANDNES
In this course, twelve volunteers from different branches were facilitating the conflict workshop. This was their first certification course, and everybody was nervous, but did really well! Excellent job, everyone!
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETINGS IN KARMØY RED CROSS LOCAL BRANCH
In addition, we have been attending Karmøy Red Cross local branch annual general meeting. Here, the annual report was presented before the volunteers, local branch youth elections were held and plans for the next year were discussed. We are excited to see the plans turn into reality!
We learned that each member of the board is given a responsibility for a certain activity during his or her term as a member of local branch board. This is definitely something we want to take with us when we return to our dear national society.
LEARNING ABOUT STAVANGER RED CROSS'S HUMANITARIAN ACTIVITIES
One memorable activity for us during these last weeks was joining the Stavanger Red Cross youth board. Here, they discussed and planned awareness campaigns about Sexually Transmitted Infections and HIV/AIDS through Sexual Health Education. Another group discussed how to socialize with elderlies. Lastly, one group focused on social activities with the refugees. We felt really inspired and proud to see the humanitarian work coming from Stavanger .
