I have been deployed by Nepal Red Cross Society in Myagdi district for one month. I have also been treasurer in Youth Red Cross Circle, Tri Chandra College. The main areas of focus are organizational development, Health services and Youth circles. You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I am Nishan Karki, 24 years old from Nepal. I have 7 years of volunteering experience in the Red Cross both at local and national level. I have good enough knowledge and experience to work with the youths. The main areas of focus within the organization have been Organizational Development, Junior and Youth Red cross, Health Condition, and as an Emergency Relief Services for disaster victims. I am currently working as a student on a Master’s of Business Management at Tribhuvan University, also working as a Chairman of Youth Red Cross in my college. YDEP is a most popular program in Nepal Red Cross Society and previous delegates briefing about the mission and achievements in Norway are the main encouraging factor to me for becoming a youth delegate. Similarly, the personal growth in myself during few years of volunteering experience in Red Cross has always been a passion for me that inspires me to learn and do better. We, Saseena and Nishan , Youths from Nepal landed in the amazing land of Midnight Sun in 18th of August, one week later all the Youth delegates arrived, with new hope, more enthusiasm and willingness to do more, do better and reach further.
Although we came late here but we got a chance to spend our quality time with all the youth delegates, share our experiences and ideas. We are having a wonderful time in a group of youths from different national societies (Nepal, Columbia, Kenya, and Norway). This has been great learning experience from each other. We visited our work place as well as we met our Local Contact person Cathrine kvamme Elger on the 1st week of our training.
This beautiful country has friendly people to meet, gorgeous food to taste and We are still learning to adopt in the challenging environment of Norway. And we are really excited to put our learned knowledge in the field and also looking forward to learn more.
We will be updating our exciting experiences in days to come through our blog post. We really appreciate your feedbacks, suggestions and comments. You can also connect us through facebook: saseena ungdomsdelegat and Nishan ungdomsdelegat.
