After 1 month together, the delegates have moved in their respective district to work for several months.
The Malagasy Youth Delegates have moved in Nord-Trøndelag district, around 600 kilometers from Oslo, in a city called Steinkjer.
For us, the change is quickly noticed. Oslo was a bit crowded and noisy but here in Steinkjer is so calm, relaxing and very very very silent :-)
We arrived in Steinkjer on Thursday, warmly welcomed by everyone we met, we even received very nice flowers, thank you Hilde :-) ; started to work in the office on Friday, and right away in an activity on Saturday.
In a place called Stokkvola, after a meeting with the District leaders and the Youth leaders, we climbed a mountain of more than 2 km high, something new for us but the Norwegians love that.
We were exhausted after that but it was a real pleasure to meet all the district leaders, the volunteers and some 230 people who participated in that activity.
It was a kind of cultural exchange, a social inclusion, an introduction to the Norwegian culture for the foreigners (‘cause we were many foreigners there).
Norway is maybe cold but the people here are so nice and warm!
