Heeey. What’s up everyone?!

Well, we have some news for you, here they are:

1-      Today 1st of December is the World AIDS day, but we won't really talk about it here. You can find more about the world AIDS day in the other delegates' blogs.

However, to celebrate it, we’ve made this video with all the youth delegates. Just watch it here.

2- Last Saturday we had a mini workshop about Street Mediation with the Red Cross Youth volunteers in Steinkjer.

What is Street Mediation exactly?

Street mediation is a tool for violence prevention among young people. It has been developed as a concept and methodology over two project phases. It was initiated by the Norwegian Red Cross in 1999 and further developed and shared on a peer-to-peer level with other National Societies in Lebanon, Belize, Romania, Denmark, Colombia, Latvia, …

Today, street mediation is a bustling youth activity many Norwegian cities and districts. Several other countries in the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement have shown interest and the National Societies in Belize, Romania, Lebanon, Colombia and Denmark have implemented street meditation as an activity.

Here's one more, but in Norwegian :-)

So it’s about resolving conflict, but also about fun, ‘cause we have so much fun with the exercises that we do during the sessions.

It’s a bit similar with the YABC of the IFRC. What are those weird words again :-( ? Well YABC means “Youth as Agents of Behavioural Change” and IFRC “International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies”

If you want to know more, here's one link about YABC: http://www.ifrc.org/en/what-we-do/principles-and-values/youth-as-agents-of-behavioural-change-yabc/

But let's get back to the Street Mediation, so what we have done on Saturday was just giving an overview of it to the participants.

To illustrate it and to finish this post, here are some pictures:

Hope you had fun with this post and got more knowledge with all the videos and links.

See ya :-)
